TEACH South Africa Launches Marketing Campaign
by TEACH South AfricaJanet Berger, head designer of Flow Communications, and her team designed the new marketing campaign which was launched across 10 university campuses this year. “The campaign has been very successful,” says Vuyiswa Ncontsa, Operations Manager of TEACH SA.
Launched on campuses at a time when many students were thinking of their future careers, the campaign used inspirational and motivational material to attract students. It consisted of posters showing Ambassadors wearing TEACH t-shirts with motivational wording, crime scene tape with motivational wording, and coverage in local and national media.
Janet explains, “You need to speak directly to potential Ambassadors, addressing their concerns.” An example of the wording is: “A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.” This speaks to the kind of person who will be dedicated to the cause.
Once the campaign has attracted students, the next step is recruitment.
