TEACH South Africa attends Homecoming Revolution Expo
by TEACH South AfricaTEACH South Africa took part in the Homecoming Revolution event in London towards the end of March 2010. The two-day exhibition, an initiative to attract top professionals back to South Africa, could not have come at a better time. Excitement generated by the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ has meant that a lot of South Africans abroad are looking for opportunities to return home.
Over the two days, TEACH South Africa met 75 individuals – professionals with extensive experience in education.
The event not only introduced us to potential employees, but also afforded us the opportunity to network with potential partners, mentors and funders.
Based on conversations we had in London, we have already established working relationships that are bearing positive results.
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa, Aaron Mokoena Foundation, School Aid in the UK and Future Leaders are some of the potential partners TEACH South Africa has been engaging with.
We are looking forward to building on partnerships – and forging new ones – and sharpening the skills set of the TEACH South Africa team.
