67 Initiative – TEACH Ambassadors unite

by TEACH South Africa

In a move towards making a positive difference, TEACH Ambassadors will undertake to mentor one learner for one year. The 67 Initiative, launched on Nelson Mandela International Day, will involve six boys and seven girls from schools where TEACH Ambassadors are placed.

A food scheme will also form part of the initiative, which will provide learners with a supply of food for one year. There will be a monitoring and tracking system in place whereby learners will send a monthly report on the progress they are making and what they are being taught.

Learners are encouraged to embark on a project that will be managed by their TEACH Ambassador.

TEACH’s media partner, Kaya FM, has come on board to monitor the impact of the 67 Initiative on the learner. To keep up to speed on the progress of the initiative, listen to Kaya FM on the last Friday of each month, or go to TEACH South Africa’s Facebook page.
